Simple; he is so mad of you that he want to crush you with each throw, all you have to do is move to the spot using left and right arrow, then stand long enough and he'll throw it there; once he throw it, you can move to another position, making sure that you always have access to a slope. There are 3 different objects he can throw: stone which is hard and will stay in shape after thrown, soil which will break down if thrown on uneven foundation and sand which will spread horizontally.
