How to Play?

The Eight Off Solitaire is one of many variations on a Solitaire card game named Freecell. The Eight Off is older version of that game. The difference between the two is that in Eight Off stacking is done by suit and there are more cells available. The basic idea is to build from ace o kind in suit on the four foundations. Now the cards can be moved according to the following rules. Only one card can be moved at any one time. Any card can be moved to or from the reserve cells at the top of the table. Cards can be added to the stacks in tableau by suit and in descending order. A space can be filled with any singe card. The game panel has four buttons on the left side and the right side is a game screen. The buttons are named 'New Game', 'Instructions', 'Undo' and the fourth button is not related to the game and it's named 'More Games'. Pressing the 'New Game' starts the game. The game screen has twelve cells. Nine of twelve cells are on the top of the game screen. The ninth cell has the rest of three cells below it one under the other. At the beginning of game the first top four cells are filled with cards. Below the top eight cells are cards stacked on top of each other, but with number and suit being visible to player. The button 'Undo' is disabled at start, but with first move of any card it will become enabled. Pressing the 'Undo' button will rewind the game for one move. Pressing the 'Instructions' button will present the player with instructions on how to play the game. Instruction menu has three pages. First page is instruction on how to play the game. The second page is About the Game page and Credits. The last page is sort of a ad for other game from the same company. My advice for players regarding this game is to keep their eyes open.
