The game Montage is interesting Tetris like game. It's different way of playing the game, but same principle in getting the points. It also looks like many other games of that type. The game controls are a mouse to move and also arrow keys or W,A,S and D. To rotate the pieces use mouse wheel or space. To drop pieces use mouse left button or enter. The basic idea is to drop pieces into the arena in such a way as to match colors with pieces that are already there. Pieces can overlap other pieces if the colors match, and any square overlapped by or adjacent to a square of the same color is removed. The game menu has three buttons. Out of those three buttons two are related to this game. The buttons are named 'New Game' and 'Instructions'. Pressing the 'New Game' will start the game. On the right side of the game panel are indicators for Score, Removed and Lives. Removed indicates how many pieces you removed. The Lives is set to five by default. In the lower part of the left side of the game panel are same buttons as the ones in the main menu. In the lower part of the middle of the game panel is a bar that shows you how much time is remaining till piece is dropped. If time runs out the piece is dropped where it is, if possible, otherwise the piece shatters and you loose one life. Pressing the 'Instructions' button will present the player with the instructions on how to play the game and credits for game developers. My advice is to be careful of the timer and be very good with color matching. |
