Squiggle Squid

The game Squiggle Squid is point collecting type of game. The basic idea is to collect plankton and to avoid obstacles. To play the game you need only mouse and left mouse button. The main menu has buttons 'Quest Mode', 'Score Mode', 'Help', 'Scores' and 'Medals'. Pressing the 'Quest Mode' will present the player with another screen. The screen in question is titled 'Level select' and from here you can get back to main menu by pressing the 'back to menu' located in the upper left corner. There are fifty levels in total and when you play the game for the first time only first level will be click able, after you pass each level it will stay saved and you'll be able to click on it. Clicking on level number the game will start. The game panel has in the lover left corner info regarding what level is the current level, and how many points you have left to collect to clear the level. Right of it is the timer indicating how much time you have left to collect enough plankton to get specified amount of points. In the lower right corner is a button named 'menu' and when pressed it presents the player with in-game menu. It has buttons 'help', 'level select', 'mute on/off' and 'back to game'. Pressing the 'menu' button also causes the game to pause, including the timer, only plankton are still moving. Left of the 'menu' button is the indicator how many times in a row has player managed to collect plankton. Left of it is the life indicator, it is presented in a form of three hearts and every time you hit the obstacle you loose part of hearts and when the last one is lost it's game over. To collect the plankton point the mouse pointer where the plankton are and the squid will follow it and once the squid and the plankton are near point the mouse pointer in a opposite direction and press left mouse button which will make squid release the ink that will collect all the plankton. The further you dash the bigger the ink cloud will be and you'll catch more plankton. The difference between the 'Quest Mode' and 'Score Mode' is in difficulty level. The 'Quest Mode' is easier than 'Score Mode'. Pressing the 'Help' in main menu will present the player with instruction on how to play the game and game controls. The advice that I can give for this game is to try to make really big ink clouds and to collect many plankton in a row. The more plankton you catch in a row will make a chain which will get you more points.
